Top soil

Grade A topsoil is an 8mm recycled screened soil. Occasionally we can get it with a valid BS3882:2007 certificate. Our Grade A topsoil has been screened but due to its nature it is a slightly heavier soil than some soil.  It has a fairly neutral PH of around 7.5 meaning it is suitable for most types of plants (plants that do not specifically require acid or alkaline soil), turf and seed. It can also be mixed with our compost to be use in raised flower beds and vegetables gardens or simply used for levelling ground, gardens and lawns ready for turfing, seeding or planting. We pride ourselves with supplying good qualityA Grade topsoil.

How to work out the amount of topsoil when ordering.
For example: A site has an area of 10m x 15m and needs a coverage of 150mm.
10 x 15 x 0.15 = 22.5m3
a tonne of a standard topsoil equals approximately 0.67m3. Divide the cubic metres required by 0.67 to give you the tonnage.
