Road planings, also referred to as tarmac scalpings, are produced by a cold milling machine slowly rolling over a tarmacked area. The machine scrapes the surface layer of tarmac away from the road sub base which is then loaded onto wagons. Planings can be delivered for you direct to your site they are recycled products. The material is usually 40mm or 20mm down to dust. Their availability depends on new road building activities within the area providing a source material.
